Project Description
OverviewPeaceful Parent Happy Kids is the flagship online course created by Dr. Laura Markham, a clinical psychologist, bestselling author, and internationally recognized parenting expert. As the course audience grew into the tens of thousands, the platform needed to do far more than host content—it needed to support real behavioral change over time.
Enginate originally built the course platform years ago and has supported its evolution ever since. The goal was to create a calm, structured, and trustworthy learning environment that parents could return to week after week—without technical friction, confusion, or overwhelm.
The Challenge
The course content is extensive, emotionally nuanced, and intentionally paced. Parents needed:
- A clear sense of where they were in the course
- Content released gradually, not all at once
- Multiple ways to engage (reading, listening, reflecting)
- Easy access across devices and time zones
- A system that could scale during enrollment surges
At the same time, the administrative team needed full control over content visibility, automation, and student access—without managing a fragile or overly complex system.
Our Approach & Solution
We designed the platform around clarity, pacing, and emotional safety. Rather than forcing the course into an off-the-shelf learning system, we built a custom environment aligned with how parents actually learn and change habits.The platform was structured to guide students week by week, with consistent navigation, predictable rhythms, and multiple entry points into the material. Content is intentionally released on a schedule to support reflection and practice, not binge consumption.
