HallKeen Management is a Boston-based real estate company that manages a portfolio of over 100 properties throughout the United States.
At the beginning of our partnership, HallKeen (HK) was amid a corporate restructure which would in turn have a major impact on their website. Their website needed to reflect their streamlined business offerings with clear messaging, while becoming easier to navigate with increased usability.
Our team first completed a website restructure—simultaneously updating, consolidating, and removing web pages from their site without causing damage to or impacting their searchability (in Google or other search engines). Soon after, we engaged in a complete site redesign & rebuild, which included a dedicated spotlight page for each of their 100+ properties, a custom apartment-search feature for prospective residents (based on location or/and apartment features), a searchable property manager index for current residents, and a secured-access portal for HK's 1000+ employees.
The secured-access employee portal helps to facilitate communication with HK employees—who work in various locations throughout the U.S. —allowing them to access important announcements, newsletters, resources, reference materials, and training videos. Over time our team has added an accompanying iOS & Android native app for the employee portal, as well as a web-based app.
With HallKeen’s most recent website rebuild our team added a custom, multi-step, Employment Application for prospective employees. This was previously a PDF-based application process, relying on user email delivery. Now company stakeholders are notified instantly via a custom automation when a new employment application is submitted, and can review the application and any accompanying credentials (resume, CV, etc) immediately.
Our team included several customized client-editing modules with HK's site to enable designated members of their team to easily update select features.
