Project Description
Overview
To support a time-sensitive Fall Sprint Admissions campaign, Principia College needed a focused digital experience separate from their primary website. The goal was to create a streamlined, admissions-specific microsite that could guide prospective students from first impression to action—without the complexity or distraction of a full institutional site.
Enginate was engaged to design, develop, and launch the microsite as a standalone project under Principia’s existing Master Services agreement.
The Challenge
Admissions campaigns move quickly and often rely on paid media and branded search traffic. The microsite needed to:
- Be fast to launch
- Clearly communicate value and next steps
- Perform well across mobile and desktop
- Meet accessibility, privacy, and institutional standards
All while remaining visually aligned with Principia’s brand and admissions messaging.
Our Approach & Solution
Enginate handled the full microsite build—from wireframing through development, testing, and launch. Drawing inspiration from proven admissions microsite patterns, we structured the experience around clarity, momentum, and conversion.
The site was intentionally designed as a contained admissions journey, allowing Principia to focus messaging, CTAs, and content hierarchy specifically on recruitment goals.
Key Outcomes
The completed microsite launched on schedule ahead of the Fall admissions push and now serves as a targeted landing environment for campaign-driven traffic. By separating the admissions experience from the main site, Principia gained a flexible, campaign-ready platform without disrupting broader site architecture.
The microsite:
- Supports multiple traffic sources with clear admissions pathways
- Provides a focused, distraction-free experience for prospective students
- Can be iterated quickly to support evolving admissions needs
This project highlights how strategic microsites can complement large institutional websites—offering speed, focus, and measurable impact for high-priority initiatives.
